AdBlue storage. AdBlue ® has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in ideal storage conditions: a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. AdBlue® starts decomposing at a temperature above 30°C, and starts freezing below -11°C. Once thawed the product can be used normally.
Urea solution is incompatible with certain materials; it may cause corrosion of metals and also damage some kind of plastics. All the materials utilized to build storage and delivery tanks and dispensing units, including hoses, nozzles, pum
ps, and other accessories, must be compatible with AdBlue® in order to avoid any contamination of the product and any damage to the equipment.
Materials compatible with AdBlue®:
- Stainless Steel
- Polyethylene HD
- Polypropylene HD
- Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)
- Perfluoroalkoxy PFA
Materials NOT compatible with AdBlue®:
- Galvanized Iron
- Alloys of Copper, Zinc, Lead, Brass, Bronze…
- Alluminum, Magnesium, Nichel
